MBA
Platform comparison

MarketBasketAnalysis on every platform you sell on

One product family across WooCommerce, Magento and Adobe Commerce, Shopify, BigCommerce, and OroCommerce. The intelligence is the same on all five: real co-purchase mining, storefront widgets, a public REST API, and an MCP server for agents. This page shows what differs, so you can see exactly how MBA fits your stack.

Published bundles go live automatically

A published bundle becomes a real, discounted offer

When you publish a bundle, it goes live on the storefront with a real discount on all five platforms. On Magento and Shopify that is a native bundle product. On BigCommerce, WooCommerce, and OroCommerce it is an automatic storefront discount that applies on its own when the bundle's items are in the cart. No manual coupon codes, no separate merchandising step.

Native bundle product

Magento / Adobe Commerce

Native Magento bundle product

Publishing creates a native Magento bundle product at a fixed bundle price, live in your catalog and priced through Magento's own bundle pricing.

Native bundle product

Shopify

Native Shopify bundle product

Publishing creates a native Shopify bundle product through the Bundles API, live on the storefront as a real product shoppers can add to cart.

Automatic discount

BigCommerce

Automatic cart-level promotion

Publishing creates an automatic cart-level storefront promotion, no catalog change, plus the Frequently Bought Together widget. The discount applies at the cart on its own when the bundle's items are present.

Automatic discount

WooCommerce

Automatic storefront coupon

Publishing creates an automatic storefront coupon that applies when the bundle's items are in the cart, plus the Frequently Bought Together widget. No manual coupon codes for the shopper.

Automatic discount

OroCommerce

Native Oro promotion rule

Publishing creates a native Oro promotion rule scoped to the bundle's products, plus the Frequently Bought Together widget. The discount applies through Oro's own promotion engine.

Mining engines

The same engine set, with the plan gate per platform

On Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce, and WooCommerce every plan runs the deterministic miners: co_occurrence (the always-on default and universal fallback) plus sql_pairs, fp_growth, seasonal_cohort, and return_aware on your real order history. The ai_catalog cold-start miner and the profit-aware hosted HUI engine are where the plan gate moves. OroCommerce runs a focused hosted lineup: co_occurrence as the default, with fp_growth, HUI, and ai_catalog on Plus.

The ai_catalog engine is free on WooCommerce (with a bring-your-own LLM key) and Shopify, and it is a Plus feature on BigCommerce, Magento, and OroCommerce. The profit-aware hosted HUI engine is a Plus feature on every platform. See the engines reference for the per-engine detail.

Pricing

Two plans everywhere: Free $0 and Plus $99 / month flat

The same two plans apply on every platform. Free ships the FBT widget, the post-purchase upsell, the deterministic engines, and explainable badges. Plus at $99 / month flat unlocks the hosted profit-aware engine, the cart drawer, the public REST API, and the full agent surface. Every plan is metered on capability and compute, never on GMV. The billing rail is the only real difference.

Storefront widgets, REST API, and MCP

The same conversion surfaces and agent access on all five

The FBT widget, cart drawer, and post-purchase upsell ship on every platform and reuse the same recommendation engine. The customer-facing Bundle Builder ships on Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce, and WooCommerce. The public REST API and the MCP server ship on all five, so any agent host can query your store's real co-purchase intelligence. The injection point for the storefront widget is the main thing that differs.

The MCP server exposes agent-callable tools to any MCP host (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Cline, the OpenAI Agent SDK). The predict_reorder tool is gated to Shopify by default; set MBA_PLATFORM=shopify to use it against another platform. See the MCP docs and the REST API docs.

Per-platform notes

How MBA installs and runs on each platform

The install shape and the hosting model differ. Here is the short version for each, with a link to the full platform page.

Magento / Adobe Commerce

Self-hosted composer module (local-first mining)

Native composer module for Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. Mining runs inside your own install on Magento's cron. Published bundles land as native bundle products.

Shopify

MBA-hosted embedded app

Embedded Remix + Polaris app, billed through the Shopify Billing API. ai_catalog is free here, and published bundles become native Shopify bundle products through the Bundles API.

Open the Shopify page

BigCommerce

MBA-hosted OAuth app

OAuth install with per-store mining on MBA-hosted infrastructure. Published bundles go live as an automatic cart-level promotion with no catalog change, alongside the FBT widget.

Open the BigCommerce page

WooCommerce

Self-hosted WordPress plugin (local-first mining)

WordPress plugin with local-first mining. Free ships four deterministic engines plus ai_catalog with a BYO LLM key. Published bundles apply an automatic storefront coupon when their items are in the cart.

Open the WooCommerce page

OroCommerce

Thin hosted client (mining proxied to MBA backend)

Composer bundle for B2B catalogs. A thin client proxies mining to the MBA hosted backend rather than running engines locally. Published bundles apply a native Oro promotion rule scoped to the bundle's products.

Pick your platform and get bundles live

Install in under 10 minutes on WooCommerce (ZIP or WP-CLI), Magento and OroCommerce (Composer), or Shopify (direct install by request); the BigCommerce private install is opening shortly. Published bundles go live automatically, as a native bundle product or an automatic storefront discount.
